Rough Guides has named Mexico City as one of the top places to visit in 2020.
The travel experts placed the capital in its annual “Best Places to Travel In…” guide, naming it among seven other cities.
They praised Mexico City for its mix of ancient wonders, buzzing artistic scene, and culinary delights, saying: “There’s a real buzz around Mexico City at the moment, but it’s certainly not the first time. The city has long been one of the world’s great metropolises.”
In particular, the capital’s blooming gastronomic scene received heavy praise. “You’ll find ramshackle markets, old-school cantinas and traditional street food stalls standing alongside some of the country’s best Michelin-starred restaurants,” the article read.
