Your private driver will meet you at the arrivals hall of Puerto Vallarta International Airport and you will be driven to O&O Mandarina Hotel.

Day 2: Exploring the Iconic Marieta Islands

Head to the beach in Punta Mita with your guide and step into a local panga boat to cruise around 20 minutes towards the islands.
Discover the underwater world of this National Marine Park while snorkeling with your naturalist guide, exploring the favorite spots and hidden nooks of the Marietas. Observe volcanic rock formations, tropical marine life, and unusual sea birds as you enjoy the waters of the Mexican Pacific. You’ll also have the opportunity to jump onto a paddleboard and practice your skills as you admire the surroundings.

After taking in the sights of this unique area of beauty, you’ll head back to Punta Mita by panga boat.

Build epic sandcastles, spike a volleyball, or just kick back with a cool mocktail in hand—it’s all about movement, laughter, and connection. Take a fun introduction to surfing at beautiful local beaches, with this privately guided surf class in Sayulita.
After a briefing on land to get acquainted with the basics, jump into the water with your surf instructor and put theory into practice.  As you aim to stand up and surf the waves, your guide will be on hand to supervise and help you to improve your technique and independence on the board. Once more comfortable standing and riding the gentle waves, new surfers are ready for the guide’s intermediate coaching tips and slightly stronger surf.

Upon conclusion, you’ll head back to the beach.

From mid-December to late March, the waters off Punta Mita come alive with the presence of humpback whales (Megaptera novaeangliae) as they return to Banderas Bay to breed, give birth, and raise their young. Set out aboard a nimble, panga-style boat, ideal for navigating these waters and getting closer to the action, on a guided expedition in search of these majestic creatures. Along the way, you may encounter playful males breaching, mothers swimming protectively alongside their calves, or groups engaged in mesmerizing courtship displays.
