Hotel Mousai Puerto Vallarta has introduced a Zero Plastic Initiative to eliminate single-use plastics. Plastic straws, individual toiletries and plastic water bottles are no longer used, with the integration of water dispensers that produce filtered alkaline water. Guests are provided with branded glass bottles to be refilled from their personal room dispenser and Tritan bottles made of a BPA-free plastic alternative, to use at the pool and beach during their stay. Dining outlets use MEIKO professional dishwashers, which effectively reduce water consumption by up to 70%.

As part of the Tafer Hotels & Resorts collection, Hotel Mousai supports the Eagle´s Wings Foundation (EWF), a non-profit organization based in California that helps vulnerable children in need and the communities who live in the destinations of Tafer properties.
