The Rosewood has different sustainable strategies in place across the property, including eliminating plastic straws, swapping plastic containers for biodegradables, stopping the use of plastic bags in garbage cans, and recycling water bottles. The hotel works with a local company that collects pre-separated waste, collects and recycles Nespresso pods, and delivers used oil from the kitchen to a partner to be processed as food for livestock. Guests have the option to not to change their linen and towels daily and donations are made to local NGO´s of food, soaps, linen, or items that are no longer in use.

Solar panels have been installed on the Luna Rooftop Terrace that helps generate energy for the restaurant, plus the hotel has a treatment plant to reuse water for garden irrigation and works with local farms to provide a seasonal menu. Additionally, the Rosewood offers professional internship programs and every September, the children of the associates who achieved degrees of excellence in their studies are rewarded with a monetary scholarship that covers the expenses of school supplies.
