Right off of Reforma Ave. in Mexico City, Hotel Carlota is a strikingly trendy design hotel with a fresh prospective.
In the heart of the Cuauhtémoc district of Mexico City, Hotel Carlota is a reincarnation of an old hotel that occupied the same spot. Designer Ignacio Cadena and architect Javier Sanchez created this fresh, modern hotel that boast interesting design features throughout the space. The rooms are all unique with gray stone floors and clear white walls adorned with design-piece artwork. Some of the large suites have private terraces and separate living spaces. The bathrooms have an old school feel with chain pull toilets and white tiled showers.
The restaurant that sits on a mezzanine overlooking the central patio offers Mexican and international food with an emphasis on local, organic and sustainable ingredients. There is a funky looking retro library that is a great place to relax or guests can enjoy a dip in the partially Perspex-sided pool. Loungey, club tunes play throughout the day giving a fun, laid-back feel for guests relaxing at the hotel. Stepping just outside the doors, guests will find themselves in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood full of restaurant, bars and art galleries.
