Whale Sharks

The whale shark is the world’s largest living fish, reaching lengths in excess of 60 feet in some cases!  Their narrow mouths extends across the full width of a flattened head and they are harmless and even curious about human beings.  In southern Mexico, these mighty whale sharks can be seen off of the Isla Holbox in the Caribbean Ocean and on the Pacific Coast, they swim near the state of Oaxaca and in the Sea of Cortez.  A swim with a whale shark will make even the biggest admirer feel small in comparison!
