Waterfalls, Rivers, Cenotes

Throughout Mexican history, water has played an important role in the rise and fall of civilizations.  The rushing rivers, thunderous waterfalls, and deep cenotes of Mexico have been central in cultural rituals, economic growth, and environmental preservation.  Most visitors to Mexico experience the value of these sources through the unique experiences of hiking, swimming and bathing in the cool and refreshing waters.  Imagine a sunny coastal hike ending in an invigorating dip into a gushing waterfall, or a surprise encounter with a cenote oasis in the middle of the Yucatan plains.

Below is a video of Journey Mexico President, Zachary Rabinor, jumping into one of the private cenotes featured in many of our trips to the Yucatan Peninsula.
