ABOUT REBECCA

Rebecca Scotti

Rebecca comes from a long line of explorers and wanderers; born of English and Italian-American parents, her mother and father met in an ashram in Scotland, while ensconced in inner explorations.  Embued with a strong sense of community service and helping others, Rebecca's travels have given her an important perspective on the value of community and interconnectedness on our ever shrinking mother earth.

Rebecca has worked wtih the United Nations Fund for Woman's Development in Korea, the American School in Quito, the U.S. Embassy in Santiago de Chile, and most recently Rebecca served as a Senior Program Officer for Community Partnerships at The San Diego Foundation.  Rebecca holds a BA from George Washington University and a Master's in International Development from the University of California, San Diego.

In addition to helping administrate the flawless execution of the unique tours that Journey Mexico operates, Rebecca is busy developing standards and guidelines to make sure that Journey Mexico leads the way in environmentally, culturally, and socially sustainable tourism. If Rebecca's out of the office, she can probably be found bouncing her baby boy in the hot Puerto Vallarta sun.  E mail her with a question about the the Costa Alegre or vegetarian baby care: rebecca@journeymexico.com
